3 DAYS 2 NIGHTS: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK (QEP)

Day 1
An  organised early morning meeting with you and then set out early towards the west. Stop at the Uganda Equator for photographs, after which you proceed with the drive that rewards you with fascinating views of the green, round shaped Buganda fold hills. Enjoy a brief break for lunch in Mbarara before entering the Albertine region with scenery of crater lakes as you enter QEP. Lodge check-in and then proceed for a stunning 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. The trip traverses what is believed to be the highest density of hippos in Africa and many mammals may be seen drinking at the water's edge. The voyage perfect for brilliant photography and game viewing. The channel also supports a rich bird life that feasts on hippo parasites as well as fish from the channel. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2
Today is total dedication to game-viewing. Named after Elizabeth ll of England, the park is gifted with a diverse ecosystem of grassy plains, tropical forests, rivers, swamps, lake and volcanic craters making it home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Game viewing rides offer a possibility to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephants, defassa waterbuck, Uganda kob, Topi and bush buck. The boat on Kazinga Channel and the two game-drives in QEP will give you an opportunity to explore the diversity of wildlife the park has to offer.

Day 3
Today marks the end of your safari adventure in Uganda's second largest national park, but it's not over yet. You make an early morning visit to Kyambura Gorge and climb through the tropical forest to see a number of apes, which include chimpanzees, ''man's cousins''. Proceed to Kampala, arriving in the early evening, with en route lunch in Mbarara.
